Preschool
Students between 2.5 and 3 years of age
Our curriculum centers on positive social skills. Our teachers focus on facilitating social/emotional
development including a sense of self, responsibility, and pro-social behavior. In addition, your child will work on
mastering the concepts of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. Daily routines include reinforcing name recognition, as well
as focusing on the enrichments of music, art, and science. Christian values are introduced and reinforced with daily Bible
stories and weekly visits from our Pastor. We believe learning also involves active firsthand experiences and that play is
a child’s natural way of learning. Center time allows that free play time for the children to make decisions and choices
on their own. The children work on their gross motor skills while climbing and running in the playground, weather permitting.
Our goal in the class is for each child to experience that they are loved, valued, and enjoyed.
Students 4 - 5
years of age Our curriculum continues
to build on the positive social skills while preparing each child for Kindergarten. The children continue to work on
recognition of upper and lower case letters and letter sounds. Cognitive development in the areas of problem solving and logical
thinking as well as language development in the form of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are also reinforced. Daily
routines continue to include the enrichments of music, art, and science. Christian values are included via a daily Bible story
and weekly visits from our Pastor. Center time allows children to continue to interact socially with their peers and is expanded
in this classroom to include computer technology. In 2016, we added tablets to our classroom which challenge the children
with educational games and stories. The children work on their gross motor skills while climbing and running in the playground, weather
permitting. Our goal in the class is for each child to experience that they are loved, valued, and enjoyed while also having
the necessary skills to easily transition to Kindergarten.
Kindergarten Children ages 5 to 6 will receive instruction in Math, Language Arts, Christian
Studies, Social Studies, Art, Music, beginning Spanish, Physical Education, and Health. Our class size is kept small in order
to allow our teacher more individual time with each student. We allow for a more personalized approach to meet each child's
individual needs and discover which method of study best works for them.
